The Role
The role of a homecarer is to provide care and support to vulnerable people so that they may continue to live independently in their own homes within the community.
As a homecarer for Apex, you will have a number of service users to visit each day and your role will be to provide all the care as listed in their individual support plan.
This may include:
- assistance with personal hygiene, washing, toileting,
- assistance with feeding or meals preparation,
- shopping,
- light household duties or domestic tasks
- promting or administering medication.
Required Skills
No previous care experience is required if you wish to become a homecare worker, the desire to become a carer and an understanding of the role is more important than previous experience and full training will be provided.
